ITVX is a free UK streaming service, licensed for viewers in the United Kingdom. Viewers in Thailand cannot open it directly, because the service checks the IP address and blocks connections from outside the UK. BritVPN presents a UK address so the app treats you as a UK viewer.
Why ITVX is blocked in Thailand
ITV restricts ITVX to the United Kingdom, as its help pages explain. A Thai IP address, from condo fibre, a tourist SIM or resort Wi-Fi, gets an error screen in place of the episode, and a British passport doesn't change that.
