Can I Stream ITVX from Sweden?
Works in Sweden
Not on a Swedish connection. TV4 Play has Love Island UK, but ITV's live channels and most of the ITVX library stay UK-only. BritVPN fills that gap from Stockholm to Malmö.

What is ITVX?
ITVX is a free UK streaming service, licensed for viewers in the United Kingdom. Viewers in Sweden cannot open it directly, because the service checks the IP address and blocks connections from outside the UK. BritVPN presents a UK address so the app treats you as a UK viewer.
Why ITVX is blocked in Sweden
Swedish broadband and mobile addresses fall outside the area ITV is licensed to stream to, which ITV's terms limit to the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. When ITVX detects a connection from Sweden it blocks playback, so the site loads but no programme will start.
ITVX next to Swedish streaming services
Sweden has plenty of its own streaming. SVT Play comes from the public broadcaster, TV4 Play from the main commercial channel, and operators such as Telia run their own apps. A few ITV formats turn up there. TV4 Play and Telia Play both list Love Island UK, for instance.
Searches for ITV streaming from Sweden are usually about the live channels. ITV1 carries the soaps, big dramas and news, ITV2 is the reality channel, ITV3 shows classic drama and ITV4 leans towards sport.
What none of the Swedish services replaces is ITV itself. The live ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 feeds, the soaps on the night and the ITVX-only box sets need ITVX, and ITVX needs a British connection.

How ITVX is set up
- The standard tier is free and funded by adverts.
- ITVX Premium is a paid subscription with no adverts on most programmes.
- The live section streams the ITV channels as they air in Britain.
- The on-demand library holds full series of ITV dramas, reality and entertainment.
Swedish time and UK broadcasts
Sweden is one hour ahead of the UK in winter and in summer. A UK programme at 9pm reaches Stockholm at 10pm, and Love Island UK's 9pm slot on ITV2 meant a 10pm start in Sweden during the 2026 series. Weekend sport on ITV4 shifts the same way, so a 3pm UK start is 4pm in Sweden.

Setting up from Sweden
Install BritVPN on the device you watch on. It has apps for Android, iPhone, Android TV and Fire TV, plus extensions for Chrome and Edge, and it only routes UK streaming sites.
Then create an ITVX account. ITVX asks for a UK postcode, so give an address you're genuinely connected to, such as your parents' home in the UK. After that, the same login works on your other devices too.
