What is ITVX?
ITVX is a free UK streaming service, licensed for viewers in the United Kingdom. Viewers in Belgium cannot open it directly, because the service checks the IP address and blocks connections from outside the UK. BritVPN presents a UK address so the app treats you as a UK viewer.
Why ITVX is blocked in Belgium
Under ITV's terms of use, ITVX may only be watched in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Proximus, Telenet and Orange Belgium addresses all read as Belgian, so the geo-block kicks in. Telenet's Flemish basic package does include BBC One, BBC Two and BBC First, but there is no ITV channel to watch instead.
ITVBe was never a Belgian channel
Searches for an "ITVBe player" from Belgium usually read the "Be" as Belgium. ITVBe was in fact a UK reality channel, launched in 2014 and closed on 9 June 2025, when ITV Quiz took over its slot.
Its shows didn't disappear. The Only Way Is Essex and The Real Housewives of Cheshire moved to ITV2, and they stream on ITVX with the rest of ITV's catalogue. If you followed a show on ITVBe, search for it by title on ITVX rather than by channel.

Where Love Island UK streams in Belgium
Belgium has a legal option for this one show. VTM GO lists Love Island UK, and in January 2026 VTM GO+ streamed Love Island UK All Stars, starting four days after the British release.
ITVX is still the home of the British broadcast itself. The 2026 summer series went out on ITV2 at 9pm UK time, 10pm in Brussels, and ITVX keeps earlier seasons on demand.

An hour ahead of the UK
Belgium sits one hour ahead of Britain throughout the year, since both change clocks on the same dates. If you watch ITV live from Ghent or Namur, add an hour to every UK listing.
That makes ITV1's evening a late one on the Belgian clock. A programme billed for 9pm in British guides begins at 10pm, and anything starting at 11pm in the UK runs on past midnight in Belgium.
