What is ITVX?
ITVX is a free UK streaming service, licensed for viewers in the United Kingdom. Viewers in Malaysia cannot open it directly, because the service checks the IP address and blocks connections from outside the UK. BritVPN presents a UK address so the app treats you as a UK viewer.
Why ITVX is blocked in Malaysia
According to ITV's help pages, ITVX is for viewers in the UK only. Malaysian fibre, mobile data and hotel networks all carry a Malaysian IP address, and ITVX refuses to start a stream for it, live or on demand.
Love Island UK at Malaysian hours
The UK series airs at 9pm British Summer Time. Malaysia is seven hours ahead then, so the live episode starts at 4am in Kuala Lumpur, Sunday to Friday, with Unseen Bits on Saturdays.

Not as a channel. ITV Choice, ITV's international channel, stopped broadcasting on Astro on 16 January 2017. Astro then offered a selection of ITV Choice dramas on demand from June 2017, starting with Poldark and Victoria, but ITVX itself has never been available in Malaysia.
