FIFA World Cup 2026
Netherlands v Japan (Kick-off 9.00pm). Laura Woods presents coverage of the Group F match at Dallas Stadium in the USA. There have been three previous meetings between these nations, including a group-stage match at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when a second-half goal from Wesley Sneijder was enough to give the Dutch a 1-0 victory. Both teams went on to progress to the knockout stage, and while the Japanese would bow out in the last-16, Oranje made it all the way to the final but fell short of victory in a 1-0 loss to Spain. Both teams were present at the previous World Cup in Qatar, and both topped their respective groups, with the Dutch leading Group A ahead of Senegal, Ecuador, and the host nation, while Samurai Blue bested Spain, Germany and Costa Rica. The most recent clash between tonight's opponents was a friendly match in 2013 that took place in Belgium, which saw Japan salvage a 2-2 draw after being 2-0 down. With analysis from Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ange Postecoglu, and commentary by Jon Champion and Ally McCoist

Australia v Türkiye (Kick-off 5.00am). Laura Woods presents coverage of the Group D match at BC Place Vancouver in Canada. The Socceroos are appearing at their sixth consecutive finals, and a seventh overall, and will hope to build on their experience in Qatar four years ago when they progressed to the knockout stage for just the second time. They faced European opposition twice in the group stage on that occasion and had mixed fortunes, beginning their campaign with a 4-1 loss to eventual runners-up France, before beating Denmark 1-0 in their final group match, which helped them to move on to a meeting with eventual winners Argentina. In contrast, Türkiye have only appeared in World Cup finals on two previous occasions, most recently in 2002 when the competition had co-hosts for the first time in Japan and South Korea, and they will hope to perform just as admirably as they did on that occasion when they reached the semi-finals and were beaten 1-0 by eventual champions Brazil. Germany v Curaçao (Kick-off 6.00pm). Mark Pougatch presents coverage of the Group E match at Houston Stadium in the USA. The Caribbean outfit face one of football's most decorated nations in their first-ever World Cup finals match as they go up against the four-time champions, who have also reached the final on four other occasions. Since their most recent World Cup victory at the 2014 tournament in Brazil, Die Mannschaft have failed to progress from the group stage and have only won two matches at the last two tournaments combined. Julian Nagelsmann's men came through qualifying with a record of five wins and one loss so will be confident of performing better this time around, but will be wary of an opponent they know little about having never faced them before, but who went undefeated in two stages of qualifying in the CONCACAF region. With analysis from Emma Hayes, Juan Mata and Ian Wright, and commentary by Seb Hutchinson and Andros Townsend

FIFA World Cup 2026Sweden v Tunisia (Kick-off 3.00am). Semra Hunter presents coverage of the Group F match at Monterrey Stadium in Mexico. Sweden have a fairly disappointing record of qualifying for the World Cup in recent times, only appearing three times since they finished third at USA '94, and they had to rely on the UEFA play-offs to secure their spot this time around. For Tunisia this is their third consecutive appearance at a World Cup finals and their seventh overall, and they'll hope to take advantage of the new expanded format and qualify for the knockout stage for the first time. They came up short in Qatar four years ago despite claiming a credible 0-0 draw with Denmark and memorable 1-0 victory over France, with a 1-0 loss to Australia ultimately seeing the Socceroos finish above them in Group D as they progressed to the last 16 alongside eventual runners-up, Les Bleus. With analysis from Karen Carney and Jobi McAnuff, and commentary by Joe Speight and Lucy Ward
