Who is in the cast of The Pursuit of Love
Written and directed by Emily Mortimer, the series' glittering cast includes some of Britain's biggest names. The BBC recently announced that Lily James plays the charismatic and fearless heroine, Linda Radlett, in the new BBC One adaptation. Lily is known for her TV roles in Downton Abbey and War & Peace.
The book, which has become a treasured work since its release in 1945, tells the story of aristocrat Linda Radlett and her best friend Fanny. The romantic comedy-drama is set in Europe between world wars and follows Linda's adventures at a time where social and political divisions split the nation.
Emily Beecham will be portraying the part of Fanny and we couldn't think of anyone better for the role. Emily is best known for her role as The Widow in the American series Into the Badlands.
You know if Andrew Scott is involved, a TV show is going to be good. The actor of Sherlock and His Dark Materials fame plays Lord Merlin. Andrew Scott always brings so much energy and nuance to his roles, and we are excited to see how the relationship between Lord Merlin and Linda is portrayed.
