What is Malpractice (ITV Series) About?
Malpractice a searing insight into the pressures and politics of hospital life. Dr Lucinda Edwards, a battle-hardened doctor, finds her actions at the centre of a medical investigation. An investigation in her conduct has been launched after the doctor lost an opioid overdose patient. The patient’s family have accused her of negligence, but who is really to blame?
Lucinda is forced justify their every action but carry on with the day job as normal, but as she does a conspiracy starts swirling. Despite the support of her medical supervisor, played by James Purefoy, her confident professional exterior begins to crack as the investigation intensifies. At home Lucinda starts to feel the pressure . Her relationship with husband Tom (played by Lorne MacFadyen starts to fracture.
