FIFA World Cup 2026 — 01:15

Norway v Senegal (Kick-off 1.00am). Laura Woods presents coverage of the second match in Group I for both teams, held at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA. Norway were in outstanding form in qualifying, winning all eight of their matches to top a group containing the likes of Italy and Israel, with Manchester City star Erling Haaland scoring an incredible 16 goals. However, they face a tough test against the Senegalese, who reached the last 16 in 2022, losing out to England in a 3-0 defeat. The African side lost their opening match of this year's tournament thanks to a 3-1 defeat to France, while Norway got off to a perfect start after they hammered Iraq 4-1 as Erling Haaland scored a first-half brace. With analysis from Patrick Vieira and Juan Mata, and commentary by Jon Champion and Ally McCoist

FIFA World Cup 2026 — 04:30

Jordan v Algeria (Kick-off 4.00am). Semra Hunter presents coverage of the Group J match at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium in the USA, as the two teams meet for just the fourth time, and a first in 22 years. Jordan finished second in AFC third-round qualifying Group B behind South Korea to reach their first-ever World Cup. Four victories and four draws in 10 games were enough to earn 16 points and finish one point clear of Iraq to avoid going into the fourth round of qualifying and confirm their place at these finals. Algeria reached their fifth World Cup finals with more ease after finishing top of their qualifying group, ending up seven points clear of nearest competitors Uganda. They won eight of their 10 games, losing only once, to Guinea in a surprise 2-1 defeat all the way back in June 2024. Despite that setback in the third round of group fixtures, they went on to score 24 goals and concede just eight as they made it to the finals for the first time since 2014. At that event they finished second in their group behind Belgium on four points before losing 2-1 to Germany in the last 16. Both these sides lost their opening game of the tournament on Tuesday, with Jordan losing 3-1 to Austria and Algeria tasting defeat in a 3-0 loss against Argentina. With analysis from Karen Carney and Jobi McAnuff, and commentary by Joe Speight and Lucy Ward

FIFA WC2026: Portugal v Uzbekistan — 18:00

Portugal v Uzbekistan (Kick-off 6.00pm). All the action from the second match in Group K for both sides, held at Houston Stadium in the USA. Portugal topped a group containing South Korea, Uruguay and Ghana four years ago in Qatar and then thrashed Switzerland 6-1 in the last 16. However, their tournament came to a halt in the quarter-finals when they were beaten 1-0 by Morocco. While that result was something of an upset, it would be an even bigger shock should they lose this evening against a team who are playing in their first World Cup finals as an independent nation and have very little experience of facing European outfits. Both of these teams got off to disappointing starts in their opening group games on Wednesday as Portugal were held to a 1-1 draw by DR Congo, while Uzbekistan were beaten 3-1 by Colombia
