Every February, the city of La Vega bursts into life with loud and colourful street carnivals. Clive meets talented costume makers before suiting up for the parade.
15. Puerto Plata - Dominican Republic
Clive travels to Puerto Plata and learns about the Jewish refugees that found shelter in the Dominican Republic during WWII. He also joins a merengue group and tries a drink with a racy reputation.
