What to Expect in Season 2 of The Cleaner
Based on the German comedy Der Tatortreiniger, Paul “Wicky” Wickstead, specialises in removing bloodstains and other grisly messes from crime scenes. Many were intrigued and spent an evening or two watching The Cleaner Series 1 grow to become one of the public broadcaster's biggest hits.
Whether it's at work or in his private life, we see Wicky pushed further and further out of his comfort zone in each episode. On one occasion he is given the task of cleaning up a devastating mess left behind in a lethal pub brawl. This is made harder since Wicky had pledged to quit the booze.
Viewers can expect plenty of star guests to appear this time round. This included Harriet Walter who starred recently in This is Going to Hurt. She steals the show in her episode. While we loved the roles of both Simon Callow, and Zoë Wanamaker.
