Stream Gardeners' World on BBC iPlayer from Overseas

Spring has finally sprung! BST has started, and many impatient growers are preparing allotments, back gardens, patio spaces and windowsills for this year’s season. One of the best companions for such endeavours is undoubtedly the BBC’s Gardeners’ World, a source of inspiration and guidance for avid horticulturalists since the 1960s.

Legendary presenter, Monty Don is back in his ‘Longmeadow’ garden and with an increasing number of people turning to the art of growing as a therapeutic reprieve, we’re sure this season will be more popular and needed than ever!

Take a look at Monty's tomatoes!

During the UK’s 2020 spring lockdown, viewership of Gardeners’ World skyrocketed to the show’s highest ratings in a decade and many fans were deeply disappointed with the cancellation of its winter specials. Thankfully the show is back, with Monty filming weekly at Longmeadow and co-presenters Sue Kent, Carol Klein and Joe Swift touring growing spaces up and down the country, there is a lot we can expect from this highly anticipated season.

Something that has proven popular with both showrunners and audiences, are the #viewersvideos sent in by growers from across the UK. These short, self-filmed clips started as a necessity due to travel restrictions and social distancing measures in the 2020 season, but have captured audience imagination and engagement, adding a nice home-made feel to the programme. We look forward to seeing what people have continued to get up to in the age of pandemic-growing!
