What is Torchwood all about?
Torchwood is a team of small team of alien-hunters whose job is to investigate the unusual, the strange and the extraterrestrial. Found working in the fictional Torchwood Institute is the central character is Captain Jack Harkness (played by John Barrowman), who is an immortal con-man from the distant future.
Also in the cast are Gareth David-Lloyd, Burn Gorman, Naoko Mori, and Eve Myles. Their characters are specialists for the Torchwood team, often tracking down aliens and defending the planet from both extraterrestrial or human threats.
Torchwood Season 5: What's the status?
Ever since the Torchwood season 4 aired its final episode in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting news from the BBC about the possibility of a fifth season. We've recently had a 15 year milestone of Torchwood's first episode, so fans are hoping there will be news to come.
